Description

Image file handling is not just about pixels. Today's image files can contain a tremendous amount of data. Developers of applications that rely on images are expected to understand metadata from the perspective of the photographer as well as to understand all the technical details. In this video, we'll cover both angles. We'll talk about how metadata is used and why it's important. We'll sort out the multitude of metadata standards and get into the details of reading and writing metadata. Along the way, we'll uncover some serious problems with managing image file metadata and take a close look at the solutions.
